2025 has been exciting, magical and wonderfully busy for Wicked Productions. Once again, we welcomed over 40,000 audience members across Gravesend and Tonbridge — a level of support that continues to amaze us year after year.
This year marked our 10th anniversary at the E M Forster Theatre, and it was a celebration to remember. We not only marked a decade of panto magic in Tonbridge, but broke the theatre’s box office record once again with another completely sold-out run. Audiences were treated to a special anniversary moment as Tom performed his spoof, “Thank You For Ten Years Of Panto” — a brilliant and heartfelt twist on Don't Cry for Me Argentina that had the theatre cheering.
Over at The Woodville, Cinderella sparkled brighter than ever. Featuring our biggest and most ambitious set to date — with thousands of LEDs and stunning design by Cleo Pettit — the production truly raised the bar. For the first time, Gravesend audiences saw the hilarious double act of Jezo and Rob Cummings as the Ugly Sisters, delivering what many have called our funniest show yet.
Beyond our own productions, Wicked Productions continued to expand its reach, supplying scripts, scenery, props and production elements to venues across Essex, Kent and even as far as Scotland — sharing the Wicked magic well beyond our home stages.
Beyond panto season, we took Robin Hood on tour over Easter, bringing the Wicked energy to new audiences and having huge fun along the way. Behind the scenes, the company continues to grow. We’ve welcomed new faces to the team and expanded into a brand-new warehouse space, giving us the ability to hang a full set of portals in-house and create even more intricate, ambitious designs for the future.
September also saw the launch of Wicked Academy, and the response was incredible. Due to demand, we immediately opened two sessions, with numbers growing almost weekly. Our first watching week was a proud moment for everyone involved, and we’re now working towards our first full showcase at the end of the school year — an exciting milestone for our young performers.
Preparations are already well underway for the upcoming season. We’ll be bringing The Wizard of Oz to Gravesend and Cinderella to Tonbridge — and there may even be a secret project heading to Tunbridge Wells later this year.
From record-breaking runs to brand-new beginnings, this season has been a powerful reminder of what makes Wicked Productions so special. The magic is only getting bigger — and we can’t wait to share what’s next.
